Members and Guests,
We have received a number of emails regarding instructions on how to become a member and how one can volunteer.
Your help and assistance is important to us and the greater craniofacial support family.
Becoming a Smiles member is as simple as registering to this forum and actively sharing your experiences, knowledge, and opinions with the group. Our members and our support group affiliates across the globe share a bond of common interest.
At this time, volunteering with Smiles is defined by a member's willingness to submit and share their story with the group and the world. In addition to the patron stories located in Our Group, Smiles is in the process of creating a section on the site dedicated to family stories for members.
Though Smiles is a Craniofacial Support Group, our partner organization, Operation Smile, "fights" in the front lines of the war against craniofacial irregularities. With a vast number of surgeons, medical professionals, social workers, and other volunteers, and over 98,000 children and young adults treated around the world, Operation Smile is making a significant difference.
Operation Smile volunteers come from various disciplines and have different backgrounds. In addition to becoming a Smiles member and volunteer, we suggest to also explore becoming a volunteer with Operation Smile.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
Regards,
Smiles
