Trouble posting

Postby Linda S S » Sun Sep 07, 2008 9:37 pm

Someone else on the list has contacted me saying she can't
post messages or send Private Messages to the other
Smiles members on the Smiles (http://www.cleft.org) website. Whenever
she tries to do either of these things, a "Spelling Debug" message
comes up.

Anybody else had this problem or know what to do about it? She has contacted the administrator but hasn't heard back yet.

I have no idea how to not get the message. I only know how to post in spite of getting it.
1. If/when you get it, note the misspelled word(s)
2. Close the window containing the error message.
3. Correct the misspellings in your original attempt at posting
4. Try again to post it.

At least that's what worked for me.

I have had the same issue and also have not heard from the admin......in may case the 'misspelled word' was correct, but evidently not in the spell check database so no way to get around it.

Hi,
What did you have to do to be able to post after having had the problem posting earlier?

I substituted another word. Otherwise you can correct the misspelled words and it will go through.

Thanks

After I typed my message and pressed submit, the spelling cow window came up and checked my spelling after it gave me the error message I did it again and tried to log in/register. I was able to register and then I had to log in when the spelling cow window came up again. I ended up copying and pasting my message in word in order not to loose what I had just typed.
