I wish your daughter well. I imagine it isn't easy for her to deal with her cleft nose. I have a cleft lip & palate myself. On the plus side I have just a microform cleft lip and a submucous bilateral cleft primary palate (alveolar ridge) with dental issues and a slightly dropped pre-maxilla (1/16") and a submucous cleft secondary palate. My soft palate is intact but too low resulting in a slight speech impediment and the tendency to make a weak snoring like noise on occasion when I breathe through my mouth hard. Sometimes the cleft hurts. However, none of these issues are serious, but at least I have some idea of what it is like to live with a major cleft. It isn;t easy and I find that I don't have the easist time with my mild cleft.
