Info on facial surgery needed for brother

Hi all, I'm not sure what to say...
i just got news on my 24 yr old little brother, he needs surgery on his sinuses, there are polyps all thru his sinuses and the orbit around one of his eyes has been destroyed by disease ( the doc isnt sure if its cancer or not). They are going to tell him the news on Saturday, the doc says if they dont operate, he will die. If they do operate, they may not be able to keep the eye in the socket. Does anyone know anything about this kind of problem? Any rescources I can call or goto? He's a great kid and about to get his masters in music ( been all the way on scholarships).
