Baby Full Term and Not Sucking Well

Even though I am in the US, I thought maybe someone could
point me in the right direction.



My wife had a baby two weeks ago (full term)and she does not
suck well at all. My wife had problems in the 2nd trimester where
her amniotic fluid went down to 5 and the baby wasn't growing
well at that point. My wife went on oxygen therapy and left side
bed rest and her fluid went up to 8 and then 11 and the 16.



The baby is in the NICU and doctors are baffled as to why she
doesn't suck well (they will not release her until she sucks
well). Her lower jaw looks to be somewhat smaller and tight.



A CAT scan was done as well as other blood and neurological
test on her and they came back OK. There seems nothing to be
wrong yet she won't suck well.



I was wondering if anyone has heard of this before since the
doctors still can't figure it out and I'd like to take my
daughter home.
