Disfigurement and relationships research article

I am hoping to compose an article looking at the development
of interpersonal relationships where facial disfigurement is
present, particularly if there is a gender difference. The aim of
this will be to determine if more specific support is needed
based on gender as well as the disfigurement itself. Any one
willing to help by providing anecdotal or factual evidence to
support or disprove the need to provide more support to either
gender group will be greatly appreciated
