Tongue-tied

Hey all...just had a quick question. When your child was born with the cleft were any of them tongue-tied? I know that there is a more medical term for it but for the life of me can't remember it right now. But what I'm talking about is when the tongue is attached to the floor of the mouth more-so than normal by that piece of skin.
Quinten was tongue-tied but after a few weeks it popped loose on it's own. Our 17 moth old was a girl...then we had a surprise...and now we have a 6 month old little boy. Our second son, Timothy, was tongue-tied even more-so than Quinten was and had to have surgery because he wasn't able to suck properly.
I know that being tongue-tied runs in families but I wondered if it was pretty common with cleft babies as well.

Ankyloglossia is the medical term for tongue-tied.

I've never heard of this condition so don't know if it is a common thing or not.

Sorry!
