My daughter, Ava, had her cleft lip repair Jan 07. We rub her lip to this day and still notice her cupid's bow is still a teeny bit higher on the cleft side and that there is considerable scar tissue on the lip itself. We have been working with a speech therapist and while she has made so much progress, we are starting to notice her lip droops. I'm worried that she may have nerve damage. Anyone experience this? I have no advice as EJ only had a cleft of the soft palate but I wanted to wish you luck.

Our son Avery had his lip repair in January and his lip is smaller on one side than the other right now. He had a full bilateral cleft lip and palate. We will have palate repair in July and are expecting some revisions in the future but this is something we will watch out for.
