HI MY NAME IS CHRISTY AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ON HERE FOR QUITE A WHILE. MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS BORN WITH A CLEFT LIP AND HAD HER SURGERY AT 1 MONTH. MY HUSBAND WAS STILL IN THE MILITARY AT THE TIME SO TRICARE COVERED EVERYTHING, NOW THAT HE IS OUT WE HAD TO GET HEALTH IN SURANCE AND THE COVERAGE ME AND MY 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAS WAS DENIED FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD SO NOW I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE KNOWS OF INSURANCE THAT WOULD COVER HER! WE LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA IF THAT HELPS. THANK YOU

Check to see if there is a government program that will cover due to her cleft palate. In Ohio, we have BCMH that covers anything to do with her cleft that the insurance doesn't cover. We now have two diagnoses for her and bcmh will cover that diagnoses also. Ask your cleft team doctor he will probably know.

I have Unitedhealth Care and they have so far covered everything for, but I was also old by my PS that in Florida they have to. But you may still want to check them out.
