My son is 13 weeks old he just got his lip fixed this past Monday, the 15th. We have to feed him with a syringe and tube on the end. Well, he will take his grape pedialyte just fine, but he screams and screams when we try to give him formula. the Dr. told us he should be back on formula a day after the surgery. He acts like he hates it, I don't know what to do. Has anyone had this problem after the lip was fixed?

I had that issue with my son with his palate surgery and I put Kyro syrup in his formula so it would be sweet. Also, may be water it down a bit just to make sure it isn't the thickness that he doesn't like, then you can just lessen the water until he is use to it again. Same thing with the Kyro.

My son did the same thing for about 7 days after surgery. Our PS said that as long as he was taking fluids that he would be fine. He'll eventually get back to normal when he's ready!
