question about teeth

Eyson is cutting quite a bit of teeth right now. He's even gotten some of the teeth that his surgeon thought he wouldn't have. He's cutting a tooth in his cleft. It's not exactly in the cleft but it's as close as you can get. Does anyone have experience with that? Will it have to be cut out to do the surgery?

I can't remember what teeth they were but when I was 7 I had to have 4 permanent teeth removed before my bone graph surgery due to over crowding my mouth is tiny. No big deal to me, my wisdom teeth never showed up and I'll be 28 this November. I was UCL/CP complete.

I can relate to your situation with Eyson's teeth.

My Taylor has a uclbcp and she is cutting her right front tooth in the hard palate area of her cleft. It really seems to bother her a lot. Does Eyson's?

I made an appointment with the cleft dentist for the 27th of this month to have that tooth checked. Her pediatrician says it will have to be pulled before they can do the hard plate surgery.

She sees her PS on the 14th of September to schedule her hard palate repair in October.

So after the dentist and PS appointment I should know more.

I'll be glad to post and let you know what I find out. :)
