Is there a world cleft day ????

Postby Mum from down under » Thu Oct 26, 2006 10:03 pm

Some time ago I was surfing the net & though I came across information that said November 5Th or 7Th was yellow ribbon day raising money for cleft bubs. Can anyone help :?: :?: Being from a remote location I have opened peoples eyes about clefts and would love to support such a day as we do with many other causes. Please drop me a line if any of you know.

Cheers

Trish,

I do not know of a World Cleft Day or of any motion to establish a cleft day in any country.

If you came across such information, can you please forward the links?

THanks,

Thank you for the link Trish

CleftPALS seems to be on its way to establishing national awareness for cleft conditions in Australia.

There are a number of cleft or craniofacial support organizations like Smiles in the US. I know that some have established annual gatherings at the group level.

I know that this support group and others are dedicated to help or improve the lives of children with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial deformities.

I wonder if we can collaborate with other US based craniofacial support organizations to coordinate a national awareness effort.
