Hearing Questions

Hi everyone. Has anyone had problems with hearing in their newborns? This baby boy did not pass his first test and they are going to repeat it today.

A lot of children with Cleft palates DO have hearing issues. Most of the time it is a direct correlation with an open palate and therefore causes fluid build up in the ears.
An ABR hearing test can pin point the loss and IF it is fluid that is causing the hearing loss.

Hi Baby coming as Lisa said lots of cleft bub have hearing prob's our son has gone from mild loss in the right ear to mild loss in both. Good luck.
