Adult Surgery

Hi,
I'm in my forties and I've not had any surgery done since I was an infant. I was supposed to have gone back for a review to see if any further surgery was necessary but due to financial constraint, my mom never brought me back for any review. I find it extremely difficult to gather courage to go do something about it now.A friend of mine once told me, "If it ain't broken, don't fix it...". That piece of advice makes me hesitate to take action.
