Nose Repair and Dental Nose Tubes

Postby Shawn » Wed Dec 16, 1998 6:38 pm

My son just had his palate repaired for the second time Our
doctor suggested that we do a nose touch up at the same time.
Following the sugery, We had to go to a dentist to have tubes
fitted for his nose to keep the round shape. These are to stay in
his nose for three months in order. My son is two and is very
unhappy to have these in. Has anyone else ever had this done or
had to use these tubes. Do I really need to keep these in ? I
just hate to put my son through any more

I would love to hear more about this procedure. My 4 1/2 year old son has had problems regarding nose repairs. The surgeon held open the one nostril with teflon but shortly after this was removed the nostril collapsed. He has difficulty breathing from that side.
