trach removal

I am looking for parents of children who have had their trachs
removed to see what their experiences have been. My little boy
had his trach removed at 5 1/2 months and for the last 2 weeks
since has had trouble breathing especially when sleeping. Not
enough to set off his monitor but it sounds quite scary to hear
him. We have him in hte prone position and his mattress on an
incline. We have a humidifier in his room too. Pls respond

My son got his trach out 1/25/99 @ Children's Hosp in Cinc.
Ohio by Dr. Cotton. He snores a little bit at night, we keep his
bed inclined as well. He is now 21 mos old, trached at 10 days.
Other than aspiration with thin liquids he is doing well
