Tessier  craniofacial clefts - article online at ACPF

Postby Patricia Bacon Smith » Thu Feb 06, 2003 9:29 am

Hello, just wanted to make you aware that Tessier clefts now have a home on the web. We have permission from the publisher to have Paul Tessier's original diagrams on line. They can be viewed in the documents linked at the bottom of the page at this site:

<a href="http://www.cleftline.org/som/">http://www.cleftline.org/som/</a>

click on the January 2003 story of the month and then scroll to the linked documents at the bottom of Peach's story.

This document has been reviewed and proof read by two doctors, one a craniofacial surgeon and the second, Dr. Marilyn Jones (geneticist) from the American Cleft Palate Foundation.

We hope this may be of some use to you and the families you serve.

If your site has a list of conditions, this would be appropriate to put under the heading "Craniofacial clefts" or "Tessier clefts" and link to the site. This particular document does not exist anywhere else on the web, although the information presented in the document is nearly 30 years old (Paul Tessier, 1976)

As time permits, we will be working on adding other information.

Special thanks to the publishers for permission to share this information online.

Finally, if you know of any families who would like to correspond, please feel free to email me. We are happy to help where we can.

Thank you for your time and interest.
