Feeding issues/first time parents

My son was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. He has
little problems actually feeding, but sometimes after a feeding
when I put him down he seems to gag and formula comes out his
nose and mouth. He seems to be choking and this is very scary for
me. Any advice would be helpful. Is this occurence life
threatening in any way? Feel free to email at
