My 10 yr old son is due for the above op in 3 weeks.
I wondered if anyone could tell me how much pain/
discomfort their child suffered after this. My son, as
well as having 22q11.2 syndrome is autistic and is
very worried about all of this. We want to be as honest
as possible without scaring him. Thanks!

Hi Carol, I recognised the surname from the VCFS list!
I have searched the VCFS archives about this and there
is very little on this. Also, there is some debate
as to whether a VCFS child should be having this
surgery vs.flap surgery so I thought I'd do my own
searching!
I don't know your email(it may be obvious somewhere!) but
