Haberman Feeders

I am in desperate need of any spare Haberman Feeder nipple
ensambles that you may have that are fairly new or slightly
used. Unfortunately I don't have any money to purchase replacement
nipples. The ones I have are starting to wear out. the holes in the
teats on some have expanded to the point that it is
overwhelming my 5 month old son, Liam. If anyone has any they

habermann feeders are considered medically necessary for cleft babies. you can get your doctor to write a perscription for them. then you will have to speak with your insurance company and get them to work with the doctors to have them covered. hopefully you have insurance. I have found them as cheap as $9.00 for the nipple, and $16 for the full assembly from medela, the manufacturer. also try to go to free clinics if you do not have insurance. sometimes you will luck out and they will give you one or two.

My insurance does not cover the cost of the feeders. It only covers my son's dental and his surgeries. The rest I pay for.
That is why I am asking for them. Also I do not live in the USA. I live in Canada where things are expensive and medical is
considerably different. If and when all the feeder nipples wear out, I will have to
come up with some way of feeding him (which I don't want to have to do). So any nipple ensambles for haberman feeders that are relatively

I never used the HF for my little girl so if all else
fails and you cannot afford the nipples etc, do
try and find very cheap feeding bottles which are
often very soft - by using these you can squeeze the
bottle when feeding your child to enable them
to get the milk.


I am a mum from the UK and here I could have used
HF but I tried soft squeezy bottles with normal
orthodontic teats and my little girl was fine
with these so its worth a try.
