Posted: Wed May 17, 2000 9:17 pmI am 30 years old and have a cleft ip and palate. I had numerous surgeries over the years starting shortly after my birth. My final surgery was 5 years a go and it was some minor lip recontouring. I went through braces, speech therapy, etc. and I am happy to tell all you concerned parents that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and your child will live a full and productive life. I did as did so may others. Good luck!
