Hi i am wondering if any of you have gone through the surgery of a cholesteatoma removel. I'm having surgery next month and am wondering what to expect in and after the surgery. email any info or comments to: jennfinley@hotmail.com

i have just seen your message on the internet i wish i had seen it befor .
I have had a CHOLESTEATOMA REMOVED IN 1995, IT WAS VERY RARE IT WAS 1 IN 5 MILLON.
THE OPERATION TOOK 8 HOURS
iAM LEFT WITH NO HEARING in my right ear and my right side of face is still numb
I HOPE THAT YOU ARE GETTING ON ALRIGHT AND ARE NOT SUFFERING TO MUCH
IF YOU ARE NOT RIGHT BETTER YET BELEIVE ME IT DOSE GET BETTER
I AM DUE TO GO FOR A SCAN IN AUGUST TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT GROWING BACK
I HAVE BEEN GOING FOR CHECK UPS SINCE I HAD THE OPERATION IT WAS GROWING IN MY HEAD SINCE I WAS BORN SO IT WAS BIG THEY SAID IF I DID NOT HAVE THE OPERATION THEN I WOULD DIE YOUNG IWAS ONLY 29 WHEN THEY TOLD ME THAT SO I HAD EVERY THING TO LIVE FOR
