After Reconstructive Surgeries--Other Improvement Techniques

Postby Anonymous » Thu Oct 14, 1999 2:23 pm

I am interested to find if there are additional, unexplored techniques out there that have not been presented to me. I was born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate and have had over 25 reconstructive surgeries (recent parents--not to worry--I was born during a time when advanced techniques were still unknown and the conservative approach was deemed best). Anyway, after all that, I do have an "excellent result" according to anyone in the medical field. Being a perpetual perfectionist, I would like to know if any of you have explored non-cleft specific revision/improvement techniques to improve upon your reconstruction? Such as laser scar removal, collegen injections, lip line tattooing, etc?? Whatever input you could provide will be welcome. Many thanks!
