Can anyone who has had surgery done on a scar please resopnd
to this. About a year and a half ago I was hit in the face with a
hollow metal pole and I've been left with a cruved scar on my
cheek (it looks like it's half a heart). I am very fair skinned
and although the scar has faded it is still red and noticeable. I
am just wondering if anyone could please tell me how their
surgery came out. I am terrified that if I do get surgery done on
it I may be left with even worse scarring.

Hi Jenny, I have had several scar revision surgeries (I have a
bi-lateral cleft lip and palate). I have not had any laser
surgery or "sanding" of the scars. I am also very fair
skinned, but the surgeries I have had healed nicely and the scars
are very faint. Since you are in NY, I would like to recommend my
surgeon to you. He takes care of all types of cases, is a great
person and an excellent doctor (I had a lot of work done, and
only when I started using him, did I start to see real results!)
His name is Dr. Cutting and he works out of New York University
Hospital. Good Luck!
