Please help me deal with this

My daughter was born with a Cleft lip and palate, and has with gone lots of surgery and that all has been within the last three years, and now my son who is five years old has a cleft in his Uvala
I am really having such a hard time dealing with this and I think alot of it is because he is 5 years old and I am just now finding out about this.
please give me some feedback.

From your you are trying to mention your som most likely has a submucous cleft palate since that is often accompanied with a split or bifid uvala. If you're lucky all they'll need to do is to repair the split uvala and that it it. I suggest checking with your doctor before doing anything. I have a submucous cleft palate myself, but my soft palate is intact. In my case only the hard palate is affected. I also have a tiny harelip in the red area of my upper lip on the right side beneath my nostril. My harelip thankfully is almost invisible since it is so tiny. Jeff Alterman at alterman@bestweb.net
