I am a 34 year old woman born with a cleft lip.Threw my life Ive found that its a condition that your just left to live with.I was born with a double cleft lip.It doesnt affect me in the fact that I shy away from people but when your out and about it can make you feel bad when people stare at you.My mum has epilepsy and although Ive not taken further action on this feel it could have been down to her drugs during pregnancy that caused me to have a cleft lip defect.Obviously now that Im thinking of children myself it will be a worrying time for me wondering if my child will be affected also.If it was drugs that caused this can anyone be blamed 34 years on.I would prefer to know if it was the drugs that caused it or not but is anyone going to admit their mistake.
