Feeding solid foods to my baby.

My son jack is 10 weeks old with a cleft lip & palate. he is under weight, his doctors recomnded
trying rice cearl, I have tryed everything I could think of nothing work well, all the food ends up all over his face or out his nose. please hepl.

Try adding cereal to his bottle. Start with a small amount and gradually thicken it. As he ages, you can include baby food with the formula as well. You should also considering contacting a feeding specialist.

I don't know about. I didn't feed my daughter (non-cleft) solids until she was 7 months old since the digestive system isn't ready for solids until that time.


Have you tried breastpumping or formula and feeding through a Haberman feeder?
