submucous cleft

Postby Annie » Mon Feb 12, 2001 12:34 pm

Our three year old daughter was diagnosed with a submucous cleft palate. She will be having surgury in June or July. We are from the Grand Rapids area and are seeing Dr.Mann I am very happy with him but am having some insurance problems. Does anybody have any referral suggestions. We wouldn't mind traveling a distance if need be. Thanks
Annie

We live in the State of Florida and all surgeries, therapies, etc are fully paid for for any child with a cleft. The law was passed about two years ago. If you want a copy of the law please email me - at lormar3@aol.com. Maybe you could get the same law passed in yur state. I can also give you the name of the people who were instrumental in passing the law.

My daughter has a submucous cleft and is six years old. I would love to talk to you further.
